Ten Application Experiments took part in L4MS Bootcamp - Six teams to enter next phase

The first L4MS Bootcamp took place at IMECC University in Tallinn, Estonia and was attended by ten successful teams selected from the first L4MS Open Call round. Participants came from all over Europe, including Greece, Lithuania, Cyprus, Italy, Denmark and more.

The bootcamp is kickoff to the second phase in the L4MS acceleration program. Six teams who will begin an intense six-month technical execution phase together with L4MS mentors. Selected experiments will receive equity-free funding, access to robotic testing facilities, training and support in scaling their business.

Teams that took part in the bootcamp are

  • KLAPPER from
  • HAMLet
  • OJS
  • PharmaBackBot

The pitching sessions took place in a closed session. Application Experiments were asked to describe their logistical challenge to an external jury and how using an industrial IoT Platform OPIL together with 3D factory simulation would speed up the uptake of new automation solutions on the factory floor. "Before the Bootcamp, all teams received 3000€  and two months’ time to refine and further develop their proposals together with L4MS mentors. Use of OPIL and 3D simulation can be quite complex to grasp at first but all proposals had very promising and innovative take on these technologies", says L4MS Coordinator Ali Muhammad.

After the pitching sessions, the jury, together with L4MS experts, selected six teams to move on to the next phase. Each experiment will receive up to 250,000€ equity-free funding to develop new intralogistics solutions in manufacturing, and to further create cross-sectoral value in the automation chain.

The six selected teams are KULINAARIA, OJS, KLAPPER, SMARTIST, OHTS4LS, HAMlet and OJS! See what they had to say about L4MS and the use of OPIL + 3D simulation in developing intralogistics.
